Took my first of 3 state board exams 3 weeks ago (and passed!), and went back this week to take #2 and was told I couldn't use the IDs I presented (which I had used 3 weeks prior). After producing another ID that was perfectly matched, I was still denied the opportunity to take the exam! I left the testing center office and called the Pearson Vue 800 # from the lobby and within 15 minutes I was seated for my exam. The people at the help desk were amazed that the person at the testing center was so belligerent (my word, not theirs), especially when I had perfectly acceptable forms of ID that could be used in place of the one he didn't like. I walked into that exam still very rattled from the nasty experience at the front desk, but fortunately I passed my exam with a 90%. There was not one word of congratulations as that man handed me my paper and I exited the facility. Happily my next exam is at another institution. I'm grateful for the sensible people at the 800#, but will encourage anyone using the Independence Center facility to beware!

PearsonVue online are very terrible. As you see there's several other people read to themselves not out loud but read to hear it. How dumb are you PV to not understand. You people are wasting people talents and education to get ahead. This make you the troublemaker for not allowing us to reach our goals. Taking exam online at home is safer and help away from people to focus for us who may have anxiety issues. Although I think being certified for IT or any computer programming is dumb. what the hell need to be certified for. Best to have apprenticeship program with deep knowledge than taking stupid test . Test doesn't make you nothing. anyone who not study and could take a test and pass. what that make person. Seriously certified only for like Doctor, Nurse, Car repair. Those needed cause you're saving lives. Again PV sucks.

I took the FE Electrical & Computer exam here and my experience was great. The proctors were fast and helpful, and explained everything well. The testing room itself was comfortable enough and quiet. I get distracted easily by little repetitive sounds and for this exam I was fine. Maybe I was just lucky and the 10-15 other people testing with me were quiet or I was just that focused on my test. Yes there are a lot of rules that feel nitpicky but it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary. If you look at the other reviews for this location it seems like most people are complaining about an online experience? Again, I took an exam in person here and everything was great.

I am honestly blown away by the negative reviews, because they are not consistent with the quality of service I’ve received from Pearson Vue. The people at the testing site were great and have nothing to do with the fact that you’re on hold with a call center. Regarding the call center, I had to reschedule an exam on a Sunday of all days and was able to get someone on the phone with only a few minutes of wait time. They were able to resolve my issue and reschedule my exam with no hassle.

This place is a joke. I had to spend like 20 hours on phone call after phone call just trying to get my account fixed. Nobody had a clue how to fix it so I was unable to take my exam in time for college. Now I have to take a semester off because of their problem. I finished the class in October and it is freaking march. Then on top of all that, they can magically help me schedule over the phone so I do it and the test gets canceled 2 weeks before I take it. So I call to reschedule and now its saying I cant. Like literally problem after problem. Mind you my account is still not fixed. it says "candidate is not found" when I go to schedule. If you have that problem I'm so sorry and I wish you luck with these people.
