I’m scheduled to take an exam in the morning at 8am. It is over a hour drive to the testing facility. We are under a severe winter storm warning. The hours at the testing center are saying they are open from 7:30am-9pm tomorrow. They should at least have an update on their hours of operation due to the weather since more than likely they will be closed. I have not received an email and it’s past 10pm. These exams are not cheap. You would think they could hire someone to make updates to their website and inform test goers of inclement weather. I could not get a hold of anyone at the test center so I called the 1800 number. The guy I spoke with had zero information on weather and rescheduling. He could not answer any of my simple questions. When I told him that the roads will be icy and dangerous, I won’t be able to make it to the testing center, he told me” be strong! You go take your exam!” What in the world? I knew at that point how out of touch and unprofessional Pearson Vue really is. Personally, I think the board and all other circuits should find a better proctor than Pearson Vue.

I went to take a test one week ago. During the exam, there was a loud building machine that did not stop; it went on and on for about 20 minutes. One student was coughing loud for the duration of the test. The marker I was provided was completely dried out. The calculator displayed faded numbers, so I had to call the employee to exchange it. These issues with the exam were all extremely distracting and time consuming.

How would you handle this? Testing center has dry erase markers and a blank plastic notebook to do all your work. I didn’t know there was a correct way of writing with these markers. I am working on a math exam so I need to …. We’ll you figured it out… I need to do math steps and need to write it down. I go through two markers in about one hour. This is the kicker!! I ask for a third marker. You know what the proctor says? “Don’t write so hard”. I guess it was a bother giving me another marker and them doing their job. So the moral of the story Don’t press to hard on the marker because the proctor make bite your head off

Scheduled to take a test at 8 am tomorrow and there’s 7 inches of snow and a winter storm warning. The testing center was closed today so I was unable to get in touch with anyone over the phone or via email. I still haven’t received an email about rescheduling or cancellation and it’s almost 10 pm. This is frustrating and stressful. There will be a lot of people attempting to get out in this mess thinking the facility is open when it isn’t. They are just really REALLY bad at communicating which will end up being a liability.

This was my second time using this Pearson Vue location and I was very impressed. The staff was so kind and friendly, the facilities were very clean and quiet, and the entire process was easy. I definitely recommend using this location as a test site.
