First, the people working there were fabulous. However, after reading previous reviews, I left all that I could in my car prior to my exam, including my water bottle. This is Texas. We drink water constantly.
As soon as I walked up to the door, I was told to go to the bathroom and wash my hands. Weird, but I did it. Then, I sat in a waiting room for 20 minutes while other patrons were served. I’m okay with waiting and this was a good time for me to decompress.
I felt like I knew what to expect but then I asked if they had water bottles available (P3 in Humble has water AND snacks) and they said no. I then said I would need to get a drink from the water fountain and they told me the water fountains were disabled due to Covid. I teach 750 kids a day so I know that water fountain protocol was dismantled weeks ago.
The lesson I learned is to choose testing facilities NOT run by Pearson (not an option for the SOTR), but go with a privately owned facility that knows how to ensure fidelity and security while maximizing the client’s experience.
