I was scheduled to take my Comptia Security + on December 6, 2020. I admit I signed in only 20 minutes before the exam but kept waiting and nobody appeared (no proctor showed up at all). I was nervous and livid. I called Pearson Vue and ranted about my experience. They reschedule me for December 12, 2020. On that day, I signed in 45 minutes prior to the exam. The proctor came online 20 minutes after my scheduled time and asked me to remove the cookbook that my monitor was raised on. That I understood. Then, she saw a pop-up of SnagIt and asked me to uninstall SnagIt. I'm nervous test taker and suddenly I find myself uninstalling programs on my machine. The popup kept displaying for some reason. The program was not open though. This lady refused to release the exam. I was close to tears. After 1.5 hours, I was too tired to take the test even though I had switched to my work laptop by this time and she had issues with that. These experiences traumatized me to the point that I put off scheduling the retake of the exam until now (mid-March 2021). I hope to God they weren't fussing with you to this degree of unreasonableness. I sure hope I get a reasonable proctor with a nicer attitude, this time. (Update: I passed at the first real attempt.) I'm sure it was difficult for them too.
