I had a very enjoyable testing experience. Staff went out of their way to be friendly and approachable while maintaining the strict procedures required. And I passed my test!

Staff were very helpful and did their best to maintain test security without adding stress to the situation. Very professional and organized.

I want to be clear, I am not upset that my test was canceled. Iowa was hit with a bad storm 3 days prior, knocking out power to most of the state- a completely legitimate reason to cancel an exam. However, it is this testings center's response to the situation that has lead to the one star review. The exam was cancelled without any warning or notification prior to arriving to the testing center. I attempted to call the center directly both two days and the day prior to my exam and was never able to get in contact with anyone. A simple change to the voice mailbox message stating that the exam center was closed would have been greatly appreciated. It's possible that power is required to make that change so I understand if that simply wasn't possible. However, the day prior to my exam I called the prometric 1-800 number associated with my exam. They stated that although I was unable to contact the site, they were in contact with Hiawatha manager, who stated that they were planning to conduct testing as usual, including the following day (the day my exam was scheduled). This status was updated to cancelled at 7:00 am on the morning of my test. Thus, there are only two possibilities for how my exam was inevitably cancelled. First, a manager arrived (and despite the unit having lights on inside), decided that testing could not be administered and did not want to wait an hour to alert the test takers that their exam was canceled, knowing that cooperate would not have enough time to send out an email. Or second, no one came to the center that morning, meaning they had no intention of administering tests on this day. If they had simply canceled my exam the day prior, I would have been able to reschedule at a different location for the following day. However, they chose not to do so, forcing a missed opportunity to reschedule. During this process I received messages from classmates stating that it was not uncommon for the testing center to not open until exactly 8:00 am (despite most tests asking takers to arrive 30 min prior) or even open late. Thus, based on my experience and the experience of multiple of my classmates, I would not recommend this testing center.

I had a horrible experience here. But I will start by saying that Greg was very kind and helpful which is the only reason I gave two stars. Where to start... how about the day before my exam, called 2 times and left a message no response. Other Prometric testing centers usually give a call, leave a voicemail, or an email reminding you of your upcoming test. I wanted to double check that the test was still on because of covid. Next it said to arrive 30 minutes early for my exam. I did but had to wait outside in 10 degree weather for I don't even know how long. Why wouldn't Prometric stagger start times so people don't have to wait OUTSIDE? There were at least 6-10 of us out there at a given time. Next thing that didn't make sense is being worried about social distancing in the office area but once in the testing center you are closer than 6 feet to people? Why are we social distancing and waiting outside if we are all going to be packed in the same room? I figured the desks would be spaced 6 feet apart, but the were not. Overall I will never go back to this testing center. But thank you Greg for being friendly, uplifting, and light in my day.

I took 2 exams at this location and had great experiences with the staff members here. You could tell they were doing everything possible to accommodate with COVID & having to deal with a small testing area/environment. The guy & gal working were extremely professional and knew the ins and outs of getting people into their testing spots. Good experiences, no hiccups.
