A week and a half after hurricane Ida hit…after jumping through many hoops and being on hold more than 20 minutes, they assured me the exam will take place as planned in 2 days. I just drove past the testing center and the building still has no power.
They’re completely unprepared to notify examinees in the case of unexpected closure. It would appear that the corporate branch has no idea that their Louisiana Prometric center is closed. This is a big deal to me.
*update* I got an email the day before my exam that my exam was rescheduled. They never contacted me to schedule a place and date that was good for me. The email said I could reschedule myself on time for free, but they hung up on me by the time I got to talk to someone from Prometric. It was and still is a very unpleasant experience with Prometric. I’m still waiting to hear back on how I can get a refund for the $37 I was forced to pay to reschedule the exam. *update* corporate is not going to reimburse the $37 I was forced to pay. I tried calling and they hung up in my ear after I explained what was going on. I filed a ticket, which went no where.
Side note. I’ve had good experiences at this particular testing center in the past.
*updated update 8 months later* They never even humored me for my refund. Really frustrating
