Terrible prometric center!!! They cancelled my exam without informing me earlier!! how is it possible in this modern world???!!! They just put a paper on the door that the center is closed without calling or sending us email in the previous days. Prometric should be responsible for this issue. I came from Rochester and spent a lot of money to get there, staying at the hotel the night before exam and today on my exam day I arrived at the center and see this paper!!! how could you????

I had a Toefl exam on April 1st, which got canceled due to winter storm. They rescheduled my exam to May 20th. It is too late for me. I have a deadline to meet. But no one answers phone or emails. Terrible center.

I am here at the center right now for more than half an hour. I had a scheduled exam here today which was confirmed. They even gave me a heads up call yesterday to confirm once again. Weather got bad overnight and we did not hear any update from them about any plans for cancellations. So with no notice of test cancellation I drove here from Rochester on a snow/sleet/icy rainy highway 52 with multiple jams and mini car pile ups along the way and not to forget risking my life while my car was going side ways on the highway,,, just to reach here and find a notice on the door that says the test is cancelled today because of bad weather. My question is if you can put a notice on the door before 8 AM that the test is cancelled then why can’t you give the candidates a call or email that the test is canceled. At least we won’t risk our lives reaching here for a surprise cancelled test. There are many other folks here right now who reached here today in these extreme weather conditions. This is not a complain. It is an open question. Hope someone can answer or address this situation. Thanks

Super friendly staff. I showed up about 45 minutes early and was able to get seated right away. Only thing I didn’t like is that during check-in, the woman only asked me, a person of color, if I was a US citizen after presenting my driver’s license but didn’t ask anyone before or after me. I’m aware that this knowledge would determine the specific type of identification that I needed to present, but I felt singled out due to the color of my skin.

I had the same experience as the gentleman who posted the picture below. I am attempting to take my NBDE part 2. I took the first part, day 1, yesterday and was scheduled to take the second day today. Everyone scheduled for today received confirmation phone calls yesterday. This morning, there was NO phone call, NO email alerting us that the testing center would be closed due to weather. I took what should have been a 12 minute, $20 uber which ended up being a 45 minute $83 uber ride due to icy road conditions to get to the testing center. Roads were littered with accidents. Some people who showed up had gotten in accidents to get there. Others had driven HOURS through ICE to get there because NO ONE was contacted to inform us that the center was CLOSED. We get there only to see a sign taped to the door that center was closed due to weather! Who put the sign on the door?? Could they not have contacted everyone so that no one risked their lives to get there?!?!? This was absolutely unacceptable! It is almost 2020...there is NO REASON for an email not to be sent under these circumstances. Or a automated phone call! For test takers to go through what we did to get there, only to see a note on the door is ridiculous. What is the point in closing the center due to unsafe driving conditions if no one knows it is closed and they still show up to take their test?!?
