Not sure what the other reviewers are on about. Staff were courteous and the test went smoothly. Great location close to BART.

Pearson’s customer service is really awful. I had technical issues twice in my online tests (yes, each time) and is super slow in responding to my refund requests. Asked them several times and still haven’t got my refund after 3 weeks. I had to report to BBB but I’m still waiting. I strongly don’t recommend using their services. I never had such bad experience with other big education companies like ETS.

Just putting this up here so others don't get scared off as I almost did just from reading these reviews before taking a test this past fall. Maybe it was the day I happened to pick and got lucky, but I found every single staff member (from front security to the front desk to the proctors) to be very kind, warm and highly professional. The room was full of test takers, but it was quiet and I didn't feel distracted. When I needed to take a break, I just raised my hand and the proctor came right over. Its a very convenient location too and a nice building.

This happened at the SF location too. Staff were ice cold and barely helpful. The lady watching the actual room was outright hostile and accusatory (unnecessarily). I wouldn't think this is that stressful or difficult a job - most people are already super nervous/shut down and preoccupied before a big test, not prone to arguing or being difficult. Maybe I'm missing something. And maybe there are better locations than the Oakland or SF sites.

I agree with other exam takers. There is a lazy security guard who is militant. I came 2 hours early and he wouldnt allow me upstairs? I then had to use the bathroom. He had me go clear across to the other side. He watched His TV and was apathetic. I wouldnt take your test here and nearby parking was 30 bucks for the day. I would steer clear of pearsons in Oakland......id give them -5 Stars if i could
